Runways for production-oriented cranes and transfer cars require qualified and efficient installation. Here at Gantrex, we are specialists in this field and have dedicated on-site teams around the world that work exclusively in this area.

Comprehensive Service

We have more than 50 years experience of installing rail systems for cranes, transfer cars, retractable roof stadiums, X-Ray & scanning systems, AS/RS cranes and machines, ship unloaders, stacker-reclaimers, rocket movers and more.

Our dedicated Gantrex installation teams mount crane runways on ground or overhead and can meet all your needs with system analysis, detailed inspections and surveys. In addition, we are experts in all types of installation service including rail welding, supervision, scaffolding (de)installation and project coordination.

Rail Installation on ground level

We offer installation of ground tracks, including preparation works and installation, geometrical alignment of chair or sole plates, pad, clips and rail.

Our installation services at floor level range from local repair to the installation of a brand new crane runway system, including grouting and rail welding. Our installation tolerances comply with ISO 12488 standard and VDI3576 guidelines that we agree upon with the you before installation gets underway.

We deliver installation method statements prior to starting the works and we deliver survey reports, prior to the installation and as-built, prior to hand-over of the track.

Rail Installation at height

Installation of overhead crane tracks, including preparation works and installation, geometrical alignment and fixation of pad, clips and rail.

Cable Trench Installation

Assembly and placing of cable trench in the correct location, pouring of concrete and connection to rebar by others.

Damen Shipyards Sharjah, UAE

Gantrex’ UAE-based rail installation team has brought another project to a successful end. Thanks to an excellent cooperation with the Main Contractor and a meticulous planning, we are proud to have torqued the last rail clip on the ‘Damen Shipyard Sharjah’ project.

The entire project, which included a turnkey installation of 9500 meters of rails in a reasonably short time span of 5 months, was completed in due time without any major complications or incidents. Gantrex was responsible for the entire logistical operation from port to site, as well as a full turn-key rail installation including drilling, leveling, grouting, aligning and rail welding works. Additional to the civil works, Gantrex also completed the 500 meter installation of rails on the Rolls Royce shiplift platform as well as 400 meter on the side transfer carriage.
