Salalah Port, Oman
Over the years, Gantrex has supplied a number of rail systems to Salalah Port. Both the original container terminal (operated by APM Terminals) and the extension in 2009, as well as the General Cargo and Liquid Terminal in 2013 have been furnished with a Gantrex rail system. Whilst the container terminal included a design with original Gantrex weldable rail clips, the GC< project included the newly developed and patented RailLok technology on a total rail length of 1,300m. Gantrex was not only the supplier, but has also been involved in aluminothermic rail welding and overall supervision of the project.
