In close cooperation with Sharjah-based contractor Tiger Steel, and international crane manufacturers from Germany and Korea, Gantrex participated in the latest of Qatar Steel’s expansion programmes, the “EF1R project”. The project included 1,500 linear meters of crane rail including newly improved RailLok rail clips & pad. Thanks to the increased adjustment of the RailLok W20 clips as compared to the older range of Gantrex clips, the rails have been installed within the tightest of tolerances. And since the RailLok clips allow the use of impact wrenches during torquing of clip bolts, the installation was progressed with maximum ease for the installation team and within the shortest time span.
