World’s largest ships are impressive with their amazing features and capabilities. Last month, the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier, the largest western European warship currently in commission, went into dry dock in Toulon, France, for refitting. And this week, at the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard at Geoje, Korea, it was the naming ceremony of MOL Triumph, the largest container ship ever built (20,150 TEUs).
Such ships could never be build without the use of modern shipbuilding techniques and without the use of reliable shipyard equipment.
