The MAGIC telescope of Roque de los Muchachos Observatory in La Palma, Spain, is one of the world’s largest Cherenkov-type telescopes, with its mirror surface of 236m². Those telescopes are an essential technique for the ground observation of very high-energy cosmic gamma-rays. They allow the study of the origin of cosmic rays and their impact on the constituents of the Universe and the study of the ultimate nature of matter.
Needless to say that the GANTREX® circular rail system which supports the telescope must be perfectly reliable to guaranty the tolerances needed for such precise observations.
