International Women in IT Day
In honor of International Women in IT Day, we recently interviewed our talented Gantrex Group IT specialist. As a woman in a male-dominated field, she shared her experiences and insights on working in IT. She discussed the challenges she faced as well as the opportunities that have come her way, and shared advice for other women who aspire to succeed in this field. It was an insightful conversation that highlighted the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and the need to encourage more women to pursue careers in technology.
Why did you opt for a career in IT?
“First of all because it is a passion. I always loved computers, electronics and technology. It is also an area where there is a lot of innovations. For example AI. I also opt for this career because of all the new things that are created every day and because it is touching a lot of different things.”
What is your actual position at Gantrex?
“Well, I am IT Specialist. Meaning that I’m checking every day upon security of all our users and also we’ve got several offices all around the world si it is a global position not only one office but really the all enterprise.”
Would you recommend IT to other women?
“Yes for sure because if you are passionate and you like it, why not!? It is not because usually we see IT like a men’s field that women can’t get into it. For example I made a training, it was only for women to help them to get into this area. So of course I would recommend them to come in.”
