Gantrex has won another remarkable contract related to the space industry: the inspection and replacement of the circular crane rail system for the radio reflector antenna located in the hills above Stanford University/Palo Alto, CA, known locally as “The Dish”. The Dish which is operated and maintained by SRI International, is used for commanding and calibrating spacecraft, and for radio astronomy measurements. SRI relies on the Gantrex® crane rail system to maintain the tolerances needed for such precise operations.
