Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) is a leading port operator located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in a successful partnership with Malaysian Mining Company (MMC). This state-of-the-art terminal boasts 20 Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes and 50 yard cranes, efficiently handling an impressive 5.2 million TEUs annually. With a strong commitment to growth and development, RSGT has set forth an ambitious investment plan to further advance its operations in Saudi Arabia by 2050.|In 2021, Gantrex was appointed by a local contractor to refurbish a ground track. Demonstrating exceptional quality of work and responsiveness, Gantrex was subsequently approached by RSGT to replace trolley rails in their Liebherr Cranes. The combination of Gantrex’s responsiveness, top-notch quality, local presence, problem-solving approach, and robust technical expertise has consistently left RSGT highly satisfied and its competitors trailing behind.
Upon the successful completion of work on 5 Liebherr Cranes, Gantrex was entrusted with orders for the full rerail on 6 STS cranes, which included the supply of 2 Gantrex HingeGuard™ Short Rails and 4 Full Web Short Rails, in addition to the full rerail of 10 RTG cranes. This collaboration marks a significant and valuable Port Crane Solutions (Trolley Rail Replacement) partnership spanning the past two years.|Notably, Gantrex’s exceptional flexibility was showcased when RSGT urgently requested the acceleration of work on one remaining STS crane due to operational reasons. Thanks to Gantrex’s local presence, additional skilled manpower was quickly sourced, and the implementation of Gantrex-designed scaffolding (access equipment) ensured a safe and efficient work environment.
