Gantrex’ innovative technologies on track with the world’s biggest port!

The Port of Shanghai is adding a new gold medal to its list: its new terminal, the Shanghai Yangshan Deep Water Port Phase 4, is now the largest automated terminal in the world! The terminal has started its trial operations one week ago. Once in full operation, it will initially handle 4 million TEUs, to reach 6.3 million TEUs in a second stage. All the automated handling equipment (STS cranes, AGVs and RMG cranes) is made by ZPMC, and the facility also uses a Chinese-designed automated terminal management system: http://bit.ly/2AqTadX
