When it comes to epoxy or cement grout systems for rail-mounted equipment tracks and runways, no one is more experienced than Gantrex. We offer solutions to support your runway with high-strength epoxy grout or non-shrink cementitious grout. Gantrex’ grouts fill the gaps between rail support steel plates and concrete structures. Our grouts are available for continuous or discontinuous soleplate systems. They also serve to anchor bolts in concrete foundations, a process known as anchoring. Gantrex helps its clients select the proper grout depending on performance, application parameters, purpose (grouting or anchoring), installation conditions and local product availability.
The anchoring device is used to connect the rail steel supports to concrete foundations. Consisting of a bolt, washer, nut and adhesive, the standard anchor bolts are installed by drilling holes in the concrete deck, mixing the resin before filling the hole and inserting the anchor bolt. The mixed resin works as an adhesive, suspending the bolt in place until it cures to complete the process. Anchors types are also contingent on such different factors as civil engineering constraints, performance, installation method, etc. and can therefore be provided in different steel grades and shapes or with different adhesive products.
The type of levelling devices is also selected to suit specific installation conditions to enable a satisfactory adjustment of rail support to ensure that the track geometry is compliant with the relevant tolerances (FEM, VDI, CMAA, etc.)

Anchor Bolt Systems
The standard Anchor Bolt Assembly consists of a bolt, washer, nut and adhesive.
Shape, dimension, steel grade, protective treatment and choice of the chemical adhesive vary in function of the track design.

Erdermir Steel, Turkey
Gantrex has supplied over 3,000m of rail tracks for the Erdemir Steel facillities in Zonguldak. This includes DIN-, S- and MRS-rails and corresponding rail clips and pad for the steel mill and rolling mill buildings.

Gantrex has supplied over 800m of rails including fixing system for the Kardemir Steel facility in Zonguldak, Turkey.
Gantrex has supplied the rail fixing systems for a number of applications within Isdemir Steel facilities in Hatay, Turkey:
in 2012, Gantrex supplied the rail systems for the Ma'aden Aluminium Rolling company, a downstream facility to the similarily named Aluminium Smelter. The project included the entire crane rail track for the primary aluminium rolling, as well as the automotive sheet facility, and included a total of over 6,500m of rails including rail clips and pad. Gantrex also executed the rail welding works on behalf of Korean engineering behemoth Samsung Engineering and local steel company William Hare.
Qatar Steel, Qatar
In close cooperation with Sharjah-based contractor Tiger Steel, and international crane manufacturers from Germany and Korea, Gantrex participated in the latest of Qatar Steel's expansion programmes, the “EF1R project”. The project included 1,500 linear meters of crane rail including newly improved RailLok rail clips & pad. Thanks to the increased adjustment of the RailLok W20 clips as compared to the older range of Gantrex clips, the rails have been installed within the tightest of tolerances. And since the RailLok clips allow the use of impact wrenches during torquing of clip bolts, the installation was progressed with maximum ease for the installation team and within the shortest time span.
Emirates Steel, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Gantrex has supplied a number of rail tracks to Emirates Steel, the largest integrated steel complex in UAE.
Sohar Steel, Oman
Gantrex has supplied a number of crane rail systems to Sohar Steel in Oman, most recently the rail track for the scrap bay extension which included 350m of rails including rail clips and pad for the overhead crane track.

Modern Steel, Oman
Gantrex supplied crane rail systems to Modern Steel near Muscat, Oman. The most recent track was supplied in 2011 for an overhead track in the scrap yard building.
KWT Steel, Kuwait
Kuwait Steel (KWT Steel), formerly known as United Steel, has been a longtime customer of Gantrex. Gantrex has supplied numerous rail tracks for the overhead cranes in KWT Steel since 2011.
South Steel, Jizan, Saudi Arabia
South Steel was constructed in 2011 by Korean engineering giant STX. Gantrex supplied all rail systems for the overhead crane tracks as well as executed the aluminothermic rail welding works.
Rajhi Steel, Saudi Arabia
Gantrex supplied the rail system for Rajhi Steel in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in close collaboration with one of our local installation partners. The materials included 1,200m of rails, clips, pads and welding consumables for the overhead crane track replacement in 2011.
Saudi Iron & Steel Company (Hadeed), Saudi Arabia
Ever since 2007, Gantrex has supplied a total of over 6,000m of rails for Saudi Iron & Steel Company (Hadeed), Saudi Arabia's largest steel company. This includes rails for the overhead cranes, (semi-)gantry cranes, and shiploader/unloader tracks. In many projects, installation was executed by Gantrex Middle East experienced rail technicians.
SULB Steel, Bahrain
Gantrex has supplied a number of rail tracks for SULB Steel in Bahrain, most recently in 2014.
Jindal Shadeed Iron & Steel, Oman
In 2008, Gantrex signed the first contract for supply and installation of the ship loader/unloader and the stacker reclaimer tracks at Jindal Shadeed Iron & Steel in Sohar, Oman. In the course of the following years, additional contracts were signed for supply of the rail system in the meltshop and rolling mills of the same facility, making Gantrex the exclusive rail track partner of this major steel facility in the Sultanate of Oman.
Sohar Aluminium was built by international engineering giant Bechtel in 2008/2009. Gantrex is proud to have supplied the rail system and tieback assemblies for the entire project, totalling over 7,000m of rail pad, 25,000 clips and 750 full tieback assemblies. The project was valued at approximately 1.5 mio USD.
Emirates Aluminium (EMAL / EGA)
When Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) Phase 1 was constructed, in Al Taweelah Abu Dhabi in 2009, Gantrex worked closely with contractors HIDADA and AIC for they supply and installation of over 16,000m of rail systems for the potlines, central passage, auxiliary buildings and the ship unloader. The supply included rails, clips, pad and girder-column tiebacks.

Dubai Aluminium, currently known as Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), has long been a customer of Gantrex. Gantrex has supplied rail systems to Dubal for the past decades, ever since its inception in the 1979,
Qatar Aluminium (Qatalum)
In the course of 2008 and 2009, Gantrex cooperated with contractors AIC, CCC and Al Reyami in the construction of Qatalum, the first aluminium smelter in Qatar and a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Norsk Hydro. Gantrex supplied the rail systems including tiebacks for the potlines (10,200m rails for the overhead track and the central passage), the surrounding buildings and the alumina ship unloader. The total project exceeded 4 million USD and was completed successfully.
Aluminium Bahrain (Alba)
Over the past decades, Gantrex has supplied all the crane rail systems including rails, clips, pad and tieback assemblies for the potlines and auxiliary buildings in Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the Middle East oldest smelter. The material supply exceded 9,000m of rails, 30,000 rail clips and over 500 tieback assemblies.
