Gantrex’ UAE-based rail installation team has brought another project to a successful end. Thanks to an excellent cooperation with the Main Contractor and a meticulous planning, we are proud to have torqued the last rail clip on the ‘Damen Shipyard Sharjah’ project.
The entire project, which included a turnkey installation of 9500 meters of rails in a reasonably short time span of 5 months, was completed in due time without any major complications or incidents. Gantrex was responsible for the entire logistical operation from port to site, as well as a full turn-key rail installation including drilling, leveling, grouting, aligning and rail welding works. Additional to the civil works, Gantrex also completed the 500 meter installation of rails on the Rolls Royce shiplift platform as well as 400 meter on the side transfer carriage.
