We are looking for a JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER to join our team at GANTREX CRANE SOLUTIONS in Meco (Madrid, Spain). We are looking for a Mechanical or Structural Industrial Engineer with at least 2 years of experience. He/she would be part of the Projects Department. The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary and international team, so fluency in English is a must. You must be open to travel depending on the needs of the project/job. The position is based in Madrid, but will require travel to different countries within the S/W Europe & Latam area.
Main tasks and responsibilities
o Provide support to the sales department for the evaluation of technical specifications.
o Review and/or make manufacturing drawings for designs.
o Support specifications for technical purchases.
o Prepare the technical report of the project.
o Conduct external and internal technical meetings.
o Assisting the installation team when necessary (remote / on-site).
o On-site inspection (3D scanning, visual) evaluation and reporting. Works at heights up to 70m.
o Mechanism calculation knowledge (motor, gear box, cable drums, wire ropes, others).
o Supervision of structural calculations and structural designs for harbour crane type modification projects if required.
Qualifications and experience:
Degree in Mechanical / Structural Industrial Engineering.
o At least 2 years experience in a similar position and/or similar load handling industry.
o Experience supervising the construction of on-site structures or in mobile crane manoeuvring with heavy structures is desirable.
o Experience with FEM analysis software such as Solid Works, ANSYS, SAP2000 will be an asset.
o Full command of English is a must.
o Advanced skills in CAD software (2D / 3D). CREO and/or INVENTOR software would be a plus.
o Office package.
o B1 driving licence.
o Methodical and good at details.
o Responsible, able to make decisions independently and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
o Ability and capacity to work in a team.
