Gantrex to Make Presentation at AIST Crane Symposium 2008
Once again, Gantrex, Inc. is pleased to take part in the annual Crane Symposium to be held in Pittsburgh, PA.
The "15th Annual AIST Crane Symposium - Training for the Future", will be held at Pittsburgh’s Sheraton
Station Square on June 1st through 3rd 2008.
Tom Berringer of Gantrex, Inc. will present a paper titled, "Flexible Crane Girder Tie-backs". The paper
will discuss methods to reduce the damage caused by the lateral forces generated by an overhead crane as it travels
down a runway. Flexible tie-backs aid in the transfer of forces through the crane rail into the building in such a
way as to reduce fatigue related problems often occurring with rigid runway to building column connections.
